Exams

To become a Diplomate of the NDBA, one must pass an oral and written examination, offered once each spring at the ADSA Annual Session. The requirements to sit for the Exam are:
1. Active membership in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
2. Graduation from a College of Dentistry accredited by the Council on Dental Education of the American Dental Association or one approved by the Board of Directors of the ADSA.
3. Completion of:
a. Continuous full-time participation in a Residency in Dental Anesthesiology Program acceptable to the ADSA Board of Directors, OR
b. An accredited Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residency.
Exam applications must include documentation from the institution in which anesthesiology training was obtained, including start/completion dates. Get Study Guide
